Sherwood Parc: family adventure park with tree climbing and zip lines, in Val-d’Oise, France

Accrobranche, paintball, archery… With over 25 activities on 15 hectares in the Parc Régional de l’Oise, Sherwood Parc is France’s largest activity park. With family or friends, it’s the perfect fun and sporting outing, less than an hour from Paris. Scheduled to reopen on March 22, 2025 for the new season.
Head off to Sherwood Forest – without leaving the Ile-de-France region and, more specifically, the Val-d’Oise – for a day of adventure with family and friends. Giant zip lines, quick jumps, tree climbing, archery, quad biking… await you with activities suitable for the whole family.
The Sherwood Parc adventure began with the desire to immerse the general public in the Middle Ages, with accrobranche, archery, pony rides for children, and archery tag, a funny mix between archery and playing Robin Hood, but the experience has changed somewhat in 15 years!
In fact, in 2024, the huge nature theme park has been given a facelift, offering even crazier new activities, such as quad biking, paintball and“human catapults” to propel you through the air up to 20m high!
We start with the accrobranche area and its 41 tree courses, with more than 450 workshops – ranging from 1 to 20 metres in height – more than a dozen zip lines, including the longest at 260 metres, a crossed zip line and a great leap into the void.
For children aged 3 and over, the perched children’s course offers 35 workshops (mini monkey bridge, slides, etc.) without harnesses. Nets at heights ranging from 70 cm to 2.50 m make the activity safe, and parental supervision is mandatory. If your children are scared, another area awaits them with giant slides and an XXL ball pool, suspended 6 m high, for hours of unusual adventure from the age of 2 and a half.
Looking for a thrill? The ejection bungy propels you 20 metres into the air, the quad bike promises 60km/h thrills, and paintball is a great way to let off steam, with 200 paintballs to use without time limit!
Precision shooters can try their hand at archery and crossbow shooting, supervised by a Sherwood knight, and for even more fun,Archery Tag is a combination of paintball and archery. In this activity, two teams compete in an arena in the heart of the forest. Each participant is equipped with a protective helmet, a bow and 3 arrows. The arrows have foam tips to prevent injury.
And if you feel like exploring the surrounding area, the explore Games course promises two adventures with well-crafted scenarios, with the aim of finding Robin Hood ‘s stolen treasure! The first, very simple, is suitable for families with children up to 6/7 years of age. In the second scenario, the challenges and puzzles are adapted for children aged 8 and over (accompanied), and for adults too!
Last but not least, a giant labyrinth that stretches over a hectare, and getting to the end of it is a real challenge. You’re bound to get lost in this Sherwood Parc attraction. Don’t forget to take some provisions, as the nights can be very rough in the forest, and who knows what bandit or bribe-taker from the Sheriff of Nottingham might rob you before you find your way out.
For the little ones, Sherwood Parc offers two enigma courses: the awakening course for children aged 3 to 4, and the hero tree for older children. Available in 3 different levels, this course can accommodate up to 12 teams of 2 to 6 players at different levels, from 5 years upwards.
The good news, if you don’t have a car (or a driver’s license), is that Sherwood Parc is located just outside the Viarmes train station, accessible from Gare du Nord with the Transilien H in just 30 minutes!
Bring your family and friends to Sherwood Parc for a thrilling experience!
