SeaWorld San Antonio has just opened its latest attraction—Rescue Jr., a vibrant, hands-on adventure zone designed to introduce some of the park’s youngest guests to the world of animal rescue, rehabilitation and conservation. This immersive new area, perfect for children ages three to five, invites little adventurers to engage with the SeaWorld rescue team’s real-life efforts through thrilling rides, interactive play zones and exciting water features.

Saturday’s grand opening ceremony for Rescue Jr. was a memorable occasion, featuring a ribbon-cutting event in which local children participated, members of the SeaWorld rescue team and various rescued small terrestrial animals. This new area is designed not only to entertain but also to educate young visitors on the critical work SeaWorld does to protect and rehabilitate wild animal species.

“Rescue Jr. is an exciting new chapter in SeaWorld’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of animal advocates, and there’s no better time than Spring Break for families to come and experience it as it makes its official debut,” said Byron Surrett, SeaWorld Chief Parks Operations Officer. “This immersive play area brings our rescue efforts to life in a fun and educational way, and celebrates the important work our zoological team does to protect and care for marine life.”

To celebrate the launch of Rescue Jr., SeaWorld is offering a special opportunity for families with young children: a free Preschool Card for kids aged three to five, which provides little ones with unlimited admission to SeaWorld throughout 2025. To sign up for a complimentary Preschool Card, guests can register now at SeaWorldSanAntonio.com.

Parents can also acquire unlimited opportunities to visit when they take advantage of SeaWorld’s current Spring Break Sale, which enables them to buy a SeaWorld pass and get Aquatica for free! But hurry, both offers are only available only for a limited time.

Featuring exciting rides, interactive play areas and unforgettable moments for the whole family, Rescue Jr. is poised to be SeaWorld’s most thrilling addition yet. In this all-new zone, children can step into the role of a park hero, learning about animal rescue and rehabilitation through fun, hands-on experiences that keep them engaged and active.

Among the highlights are:

  • Beach Rescue Racer: The Beach Rescue Racer is a thrilling 1,300-foot roller coaster featuring beach jeep-shaped cars, giving riders the sensation of rushing to save animals in need. Young adventurers 38 inches and taller can take the wheel and race to the rescue!
  • Ocean Quest Express: Guests can hop aboard the Ocean Quest Express for an exciting train ride themed around a sea rescue adventure. Little explorers 36 inches and taller can join the fun while playing an “I Spy” game, searching for hidden sea creatures along the journey.
  • Tide Pool Tumble: Tide Pool Tumble allows young adventurers 42 inches and taller to drift with the tide, gliding in and out on a fun seaside ride.
  • Seabird Swing: Rescuers can soar into the sky on the Seabird Swing, simulating parasailing high above the ground to spot seabirds. Guests 36 inches and taller can take to the air on this exciting oversized swing.
  • Ocean Rescue Carousel: The Ocean Rescue Carousel is fun for all ages, offering guests a thrilling ride as they ride round and round, soaking in the sights of SeaWorld’s new play area. While everyone can join in, guests 42 inches and taller can enjoy the ride independently!

SeaWorld is open daily for the Spring Break season through March 23, 2025, giving families plenty of time to explore the new Rescue Jr. area and take advantage of these special offers.
