While the deals and the stats of the gaming world are important, nothing would happen without the research, funding and, of course, development that goes into making a great game.
So here’s a collection of the most exciting new mobile games right now, the developers and publishers behind them, and why, exactly, they’ve made the cut.
Amusement Arcade Toaplan
Japanese games publisher Tatsujin is whisking players back to the 80s with Amusement Arcade Toaplan, a title taking arcade gameplay to mobile with 25 classics in tow. As the name suggests, the featured titles come from developer Toaplan’s old catalogue, including Twin Cobra, Rally Bike, Twin Hawk and Snow Bros.
Free demos of various titles are available in-game, though a number of games require an in-app purchase to unlock the full experience. Players can also apply in-game filters to really tap into that retro feel.
Claws & Chaos
Whether solo campaigns or asynchronous multiplayer is more your speed, auto chess arena battler Claws & Chaos offers plenty of playstyles with its expansion to mobile. Cross-play and cross-progression are featured between mobile and PC versions, enabling players to engage wherever’s most convenient.
And of course, developer Parhelion Studios has also included all those small-but-deadly animals for mobile players to incorporate into their teams when doing battle, essential to that all-important mission of escaping the flood and boarding the Ark. Sounds familiar…
Grand Mountain Adventure 2
Grand Mountain Adventure’s skiing-based sequel is out now on iOS and Android, aptly named Grand Mountain Adventure 2. Sweden-based dev Toppluva has crammed the open world full of bigger mountains, brand-new challenges and a wide variety of terrains across four ski resorts.
The launch follows just after the original hit 25 million installs.
Super Golf Crew
Wemade’s Super Golf Crew brings beautiful courses and real-time golf gameplay to mobile, with up to 20 crews being able to play together at any one time. That real-time play means no waiting to take turns, and customisable courses means players can golf with friends in any way they choose.
Even the tone of a game is up personal preference, with jazz, rock and orchestral music available.
Gear Fight!

Hybridcasual giant Voodoo has launched its latest game: adventure puzzler Gear Fight! As the name suggests, this new title tasks players with placing down gears to put a stop to enemies, constructing a new factory as they go.
Factory workers and allies include archers, grunts and brutes, but players must also manage a budget to make the most of them.
Secrets By Episode
A world of “sweet and spicy” romance awaits Netflix subscribers in the service’s latest game Secrets by Episode. Here, players can customise their character and navigate interactive stories to find blossoming romance leaning into the risqué.
Land of Heroes

Arabic anime action RPG Land of Heroes is the latest launch from Tamatem, with vibrant visuals, a fantasy adventure and plenty of character customisation awaiting.
The title’s combat revolves around battling beasts and capturing them in Spirit Cards, which can then be used against even more monsters down the line.
